Daytona Beach, Florida - IASCA will be holding a TKE 3X (Territorial Key Event) at the 14th Annual Surf City Car Show in Lincoln City, OR on August 26th, 2012 .

"Thanks to the efforts of our Northwest Director, Travis Chin, Team NWSPL and the Chinook Winds Casino Resort, the Surf City Soundoff will feature IASCA SQ and SPL competitions for the first time." said Moe Sabourin, Director of Operations for IASCA "This event will be a 3X Territorial Key Event (TKE) World Record Event, the first in what we hope to be an annual event at the show. Mike Jaffe will be the Official Head Judge for the IdBL and Bass Boxing World Record event; he will be flying in from Phoenix, AZ specifically for the show. The dedication and hard work by great people like Travis Chin in the Northwest, Denise Varmatos in the Midwest and Mike Jaffe in the Southwest is what is creating the revival of IASCA in these parts of the country. Their efforts to bring single, double and triple point events across the country are getting people excited about car audio again and for that we are very thankful. "

The event is being held at the Chinook Winds Casino Resort (www.chinookwindscasino.com). Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Chinook Winds Casino Resort offers scores of amenities enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. Owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians since 1995, Chinook Winds Casino is open 24 hours every day of the year, offering bingo, keno, poker and more than 1,100 video slots. Table games include blackjack, craps and roulette. Other amenities include gift shop, secure child entertainment facility and arcade, buffet, deli, two oceanfront restaurants and lounges, free seasonal shuttle to local lodging, smoke-free gaming areas and complimentary valet parking. The addition of our golf course has made Chinook Winds Casino Resort a destination like no other on the Oregon Coast.

“Chinook Winds is proud to bring back the 14th Annual Surf City Classic Car Show August 25 & 26 in Lincoln City, Oregon. Three years ago the Surf City Sound Off Competition was introduced and continues to grow." said Eric Smileuske, Marketing Director for Chinook Winds Casino"Now in its 3rdyear, the car audio battle is stronger than ever. Not only will the loudest be awarded, but this year’s competition will now include IASCA sound quality and SPL competition. We are excited to be able to expand this event to enhance the experience of spectators and competitors alike. Chinook Winds is proud to bring such high level and unique competitions to the small community of Lincoln City. Local charitable organizations Angels Anonymous, Sheriff’s Posse and the Taft High Boosters all receive a portion of the proceeds and assist with the event by helping with traffic, washing cars and working registration. This is a great opportunity for us to be able to give back while providing a fun family event for our guests.”

"The Pacific Northwest is excited to be able to add IASCA to the Surf City Soundoff." stated IASCA NW Director Travis Chin"The Chinook Winds Casino has been hosting this show for many years and it was just natural with the growth of car audio competitions to add IASCA to this great charity event.  As with all IASCA events, it's more than a competition, but also a place where car audio enthusiasts can share ideas and make new friendships throughout the entire weekend at the luxurious oceanfront resort.  Competitors will be able to earn over half the points towards finals which will be just over a month after Surf City.  We look forward to this exciting weekend!"

There will be cash prizes and awards for competitors, and the event also features a dB Drag SPL competition. Event sponsors/supporters include Sundown Audio, RAAM Audio, Second Skin, DC Audio, Shok Industries, B2 Audio, The Stereo Store and Kingpin Car and Marine Audio.
