1st Annual Ed “Big Daddy” Roth Rat Fink Kentucky Reunion was held at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY from August 20th-22nd, 2020. If you are an official Ed Roth fan and are ready for a good time and amazing rides, this is where you wanted to be!
Starting on Thursday, at 10AM you were able to meet up with Bob Burns, who is the curator of the Ed “Big Daddy” Roth Exhibit along with Tom Peters, who is a retired Corvette Design Team Leader. They gave the group a tour of the exhibit which consisted of Ed’s personal memorabilia, vehicles he inspired, and some he built. It was an amazing site as everyone was able to enjoy this together for the first time!
Throughout the rest of the day, you would be able to see Geno chambers demonstrating using 1 shot, Sean Treves airbrushing, and Shane Syx Prinistiping. Thursday was just day one of this event, and it was already one for the books!
Friday started at 10AM with Seth Jensen drawing demonstration, and then at 11AM Thomas Estrada’s demonstration. If you were needing to see some sick pinstriping in action, you wanted to be at Brian Biehl’s Pinstriping demonstration. The art work that was surrounding this event would always leave you in awe.
Friday ended at 3PM with the last demonstration. This was a chance for everyone to make sure they had their vehicles cleaned and ready for the car show tomorrow!
Saturday morning the car show started at 8AM with rides pouring inside. The First 250 participants received a collectible dash plaque with their Kentucky Reunion Shirt. Between the tour of Ed Roth’s exhibit, the artist demonstrations, and now adding in the amazing rides, the 1st Annual Ed “Big Daddy” Roth Rat Fink Kentucky Reunion was one for the books and we will never forget it!
The Car Show went on Saturday until 4PM. Artist stood ready with their awards for the lucky winners. Congratulations to all who went home with an award!
