2021 Hyundai Palisade: Calligraphy Model

January 7, 2021 By Gauge Magazine

2021 Hyundai Palisade

The Hyundai luxurious Palisade SUV limited version has been upgraded to a new luxury top-spec calligraphy trim level 2021. The 2021 Hyundai Palisade has features such as an all-wheel drive, a leather steering wheel, a trim-specific grille, 20 inches wheels, trim exclusive front and rear light signature, and quilted leather doors. The Hyundai Palisade aims at making the brand exclusive with style and luxury and yet still go for a realizable price. The big and shiny wheels are a head turner and maybe the reason for the design attraction to many buyers. It also has long warranty coverage, driver assistance tech, a smooth-running power train, and a spacious cabin among other distinctive stylish features making it unique.

The Calligraphy model is powered by a 3.8litre V-6 with eight-speed automatic transmission and 291 horsepower engines. Its transmission can be manually shifted with paddles mounted on the steering wheel and has a gearbox that shifts smoothly on its own except when climbing hills. The all-wheel-drive feature is only specific for this trim level and is not available in the other models. Like all Palisades, it also has a robust transmission cooler, sway control, trailer per-wiring, and can pull up to 5000 pounds. The performance of the Palisade is exceptional and its speed moves from zero to 69mph in 6.9 seconds and requires 182 feet to stop when moving at a speed of 70mph proving that this model is quicker than the Telluride model but slower than the Chevy Traverse.

2021 Hyundai Palisade

This Calligraphy model has a fuel tank of 18.8 gallons like the other Hyundai Palisade models. The fuel consumption rate for this trim level with all-wheel drive is 19 mpg in the city and 24mpg on the highway which is a drop from the model in 2020 with a front wheel drive. The interior has space for seven occupants, or eight occupant’s configurations arranged in three rows and the second row has a touch button that adjusts the position of the seat to ease passage and access i.e. captains’ chair. When all back seats are folded the owner has a space of 86.4 cubic feet of room. Even though noise from the road is suppressed, there is disturbance by the noise originating from the doors when the wind penetrates. However, the noise can be reduced by folding seats, having cargo on the seats.

For infotainment purposes, the calligraphy version has a responsive and automatic 8-inch display with a sharp resolution which provides for navigation and satellite radio. It also has an Android Auto, Apple Car Play, Bluetooth, and HD radio. To connect the systems can be operated by physical knobs and buttons and has seven USB ports and can connect to two Bluetooth devices at the same time. Finally, the Palisade can be locked and unlocked and started remotely aided by Hyundai Blue Link app service through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Conclusion

Other than unique specifications and features the Hyundai Palisade has top-rated highway safety by including standard safety equipment and features such as automatic safety emergency brakes detectable by the pedestrian, adaptive cruise control, and standard lane departure warning. The fancy, spider webby, shiny wheels are however likely to be the main attention inviting feature for most buyers. This model delivers space, comfort, and admirable features.
