James Dean Run
James Dean Run was held at the Playacres Park in Fairmount, Indiana from September 28th-30th, 2018. With the winter season coming up close, this show would be one of the last of the 2018 year and it was one to enjoy!
This three-day festival was full of Food, Fun, Films, and of course the amazing, custom, one of a kind rides! Film lovers were able to enjoy Deans films: Rebel Without a Cause, Giant, and East of Eden. Fans of 50s music were able to dance the night away to live music on Main Street. There was also Trivia Contests and a James Dean look-a-like contest which always makes for a great, memorable time!
Judging was done each day for different classes. Friday judging was for the top 20 and awards were given that day. Saturday judging was also for Top 20 and Awards were given that day as well. Sunday judging was for Mild Custom, 50’s Custom, Street Machine, Muscle Cars, Sports Car, Commercial, Pro Street, Street Rod Coupe, Street Rod Open, and much more!
James Dean Run was an event for all ages! The show included Flame Throwing Contest, Kids and Older Kids Games, Parade of Neon, Festival Grand Parade, $500 Case Drawing, Creeper Race, and much more. Whether you were wanting to bring your ride and get judged or just come for the fun of the festival, there was no way you would not be entertained by something!
