James Dean Classic Car Show 2020 was held in Fairmont, Indiana from September 25-27, 2020. Over 30,000 people from around the world come to Indiana to celebrate the late actor and see his artifacts that are on display!
As with every event this year, some things had changed due to COVID-19 but that did not stop the event itself! Friday, you were able to head out and register your vehicle for the event and enjoy some of the money events that were also going on such as the Flame Throwing and Muffler Rapp contest! If you registered your vehicle Friday, Top 20 awards were given out at 5PM!
Saturday started with registration beginning at 8AM. With judging beginning at noon, this allowed to owners to come together and catch up after being cooped up in their homes for months. After judging, you were able to enjoy the Parade of Neon at 3PM and then awards for the Top 20 for Saturday were given away at 5PM. You were also able to see who the winner for the $100 ‘Merc Owners Only’ prize went to!
Sunday came and was a said day for all as that meant the show was coming to an end. Registration opened again at 8AM with judging following not too long after at 9AM. Classes for Sundays judging included: Mild Custom, 50’s Custom, Street Machine, Muscle Cars, Sports Car, Commercial, Pro Street, Street Rod Coupe, Street Rod , Street Rod Sedan, and much more!
James Dean Classic Car Show 2020 ended with awards being at 2PM, but that does not mean that everyone went away. Many stayed around and enjoyed their time together and checked out any last minute artifacts that they may have missed out on!
As always, we cannot wait for the 2021 show dates to be announced, we will see you all there!
