2007 Chevy Corvette: Gracing the Cover of Gauge Magazine
The 2007 Chevy Corvette owned by Amobi Nwokejiobi has been turning heads and dropping jaws since its debut. This beauty, nicknamed “Sunshine” for its stunning Osher Yellow paint job, graces the cover of Gauge Magazine’s August 2021 issue.
Nwokejiobi’s passion for fast cars started at a young age, and it’s evident in the $90,315 build cost of his beloved Corvette. The car’s inspiration was a childhood love for hot wheels, fast cars, and Tonka trucks. The main stages of the build took about five months to complete, but Nwokejiobi has been building since January 2015 to the present day.
The Corvette Crew, based out of Columbus, Ohio, is Nwokejiobi’s club affiliation. His future plans for the car include attending a few car shows and checking out what new rides have come up with for summer 2021.
The car’s history includes purchasing it from Car Max with 23,000 miles and one owner. The car now has 60,000 miles and comes from driving to out-of-town shows. Nwokejiobi loves to drive and enjoy his car and has never driven it in the winter or seen snow, so it’s been well taken care of.
Special thanks go to Jason of Supervettes out of Stuart, FL, for taking Corvettes to a whole other level. Also, special thanks to Elton of J&E Audio for all the cool gadgets and installations, Savini Wheels on the custom wheel build, Cole of Vette Lights for the new modifications on lights, LMPerformance for the custom carbon fiber hood, Carbon steer for the custom carbon fiber steering wheel, and Performance Corvette of Florida and Southern Car parts out of Arizona for the carbon fiber pieces.
The engine details include an LS2 Motor 2007 with 8 cylinders and high-performance headers (Texas Racing), Trunion Kit, cams, modification to exhaust (X-Pipes), chrome billets additions, and more. The car is dropped three inches and rides on SAVINI wheels with yellow and chrome accents.
Supervettes handled the body mods and painted the car’s yellow with gold flakes and white pearl. The body kit includes a Corvette C6 Type-WH Anderson Carbon Fiber Body Kit-Hood!!!, ZO6 grille, and ZO6 wide Body Bumper. The GTC-200 S 2000 SPEC APR Performance wing is also a standout feature.
The interior details include leather with carbon fiber accents on the dashboard, a yellow and carbon fiber custom steering wheel, carbon fiber console, custom television in the back of the headrest, upgraded leather seats with ebony leather and yellow inserts, and 10-inch JL Audio speakers.
The 2007 Chevy Corvette owned by Amobi Nwokejiobi, or “Sunshine,” is undoubtedly a showstopper, and it’s an honor for it to grace the cover of Gauge Magazine’s August 2021 issue.
