Camp-N-Drag 2021 was held at Lake Waveland Park in Lake Waveland, Indiana from July 16-18, 2021. Although rain through week may have caused some changes to the event and issues for those getting to their camping spots, the hosts came around and made sure that the show went on!
Custom rides come to support these shows nationwide and use them as gatherings to band together and support charitable causes. This year donations were made to the parents of Von Chounlamany and Jason Chounlamany in the form of time, money and items donated. Together everyone in attendance raised $25,200. Thank you and congratulations to everyone who donated!
Camp-N-Drag 2021 July 16th started with a long line of attendees pulling into the event. Due to the rain, it did make it hard for some to get to their camping spots but staff made sure they were there to help everyone!
July 17th started with judging at 9 am with goodie bag hand out. You were also able to stop by and get any Camp N Drag 2021 merch you were wanting while heading over to the over vendors in attendance.
As the night started, so did the cruising. Whether you were the one out cruising on the street or you were standing on the side watching, it was a great time for everyone!
July 18th started at 11 am with the raffle. A portion of them proceeds when to the family of Von Chounlamany and Jason Chounlamany. Awards followed directly after. Congratulations to all who went home with an award!
When pulling into the event, while waiting in the long line, there was a large banner that sticks out to us every year. It says “Somewhere, around the show, their is a little kid who wants to be just like you someday. You owe it to them to be the best you can be.” This quote goes throughout the show in many ways whether it be your attitude, your build, or your character. Everyone made sure to put their best foot forward and show their true sportsmanship!
Between the cruise and the show itself, all owners, attendees, and even the Waveland residents were treated to a fun and respectful show! Not only that, with all the amazing custom rides that attended there was sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.
