What was the inspiration?
the idea was to take a Hearse and build the longest and baddest Limo out of it. it started life as a average used Hearse the owner bought from an old museum and had a Vision so he contacted a Automotive Restorations to build him the largest custom Chassis they had ever built. using Heights front and rear Independent suspension with Dual Coilover Shocks. Then Contact John Wargo at The Custom Shop to help him Complete his Vision of "StiffRod"
How long did it take you to build?
The Chassis work done by Jim Bailey took a Few Years to Figure out all the Lay out and weight issues. plus there is a full Custom roll cage built inside the body.. once the Car was delivered to John at The Custom Shop it took
them about 10 months to finish the Sheet metal Work and body Mods, add the Custom Candy Brandy Wine paint Job and they also did the Custom interior, wiring, audio system, install the full drive train as well. with a Carthis large that was a Lot fo Plumbing and wiring!
How long have you been building?
The Custom Shop has been in business since 1988 and built a Ton of very high end Custom cars trucks and Bikes.
Your future plans?
Enjoy Driving the LimoRod with my Wife and Kids in the back like i'm there Chauffeur.
