“Gold Digger”
The 1966 Cadillac Sedan Deville is a beautiful piece of automotive history, and Josh Carpenter has turned his into a true work of art. With its stunning gold paint job, beautiful hand-pinstriped graphics, and low-rider stance, it’s no wonder that Josh has named his car the “Gold Digger.”
Despite its classic looks, this car is no slouch when it comes to modern technology. Josh has already installed a custom sound system featuring JL Audio speakers and a Retro sound head unit. But he’s not done yet: his future plans include dropping in a 5.3 LS engine with a 4L60 transmission and giving the car a fresh paint job to make it truly stand out.
The “Gold Digger” wasn’t always the beautiful machine it is today, though. When Josh bought his 1966 Cadillac Sedan Deville March of 2022, it was a non-running wreck with a hole in the gas tank and radiator, and no reverse gear. But with a lot of hard work and dedication, Josh has transformed it into a true masterpiece.
This isn’t Josh’s first foray into the world of custom vehicles, either. He got his start building low-rider bicycles before moving on to cars, and has owned everything from a 1976 Cadillac hearse to a 2016 Harley-Davidson Road Glide. He’s also a member of the Cadillac Kings car club, and has received support and encouragement from many others in the community.
Whether you’re a fan of classic cars, low-riders, or just beautiful works of art, the “Gold Digger” is sure to impress. With its stunning good looks and modern upgrades, it’s a true testament to Josh’s skill and dedication as a builder.
