STOMPER
Introducing Stomper, a 1995 Nissan Pick Up King Cab that perfectly embodies the spirit of old-school automotive charm. With its unique name, this custom creation holds a special meaning. The inspiration behind the name came from the truck’s rugged appearance, reminiscent of an old stomper. This Nissan model, originally purchased for a mere $250, has undergone an incredible transformation that showcases the creativity and craftsmanship of its owner.
The mastermind behind Stomper is none other than Bri Wargo, who inherited her passion for custom paint jobs from her father, John Wargo. Although Bri had dreams of owning a monster truck, her father steered her towards the idea of building Stomper instead. With a limited budget, Bri and her father embarked on an extraordinary journey, spending approximately two years to bring this vision to life.
The extensive build process involved numerous tasks, from replacing rusted sheet metal with components sourced from GoodMark Ind. to fixing exhaust leaks and broken headers. Working diligently alongside her father, Bri developed skills in welding, cutting, prepping, cleaning, and upholstery. Together, they tackled the challenge of reviving the neglected truck, investing countless hours into turning it into a unique masterpiece.
The restoration journey started with extensive rust repair and bodywork, followed by the application of POR15 to combat further corrosion. Bri diligently sanded, primed, and masked the truck, gradually building up layers of vibrant colors to achieve the captivating graphics. With her father’s guidance, Bri skillfully applied shadows and highlights, creating a visually stunning design that would leave onlookers in awe. After several rounds of sanding, polishing, and clear coating, Stomper emerged as a head-turning beauty.
But Stomper’s allure doesn’t stop at its eye-catching exterior. Bri and her father invested their skills and expertise into crafting an impressive audio system. The interior features a custom subbox housing four 12″ Sony ES subs, powered by cutting-edge Sony ES amps. To match the vibrant exterior, the seats are adorned with pink fur covers, and the headliner boasts a stylish blue fur finish. With Sony components and a Sony touch screen head unit, the audio system ensures an immersive experience inside Stomper.
Bri would like to express her gratitude to her parents, Sony Audio, Odyssey Battery, The Custom Shop, and her grandparents for their unwavering support throughout this project. Their encouragement and assistance played a crucial role in making Stomper a reality. Additionally, she extends her appreciation to Slamology for hosting the event that motivated her to complete the build and showcase her hard work.
Stomper’s remarkable journey is a testament to the passion, dedication, and craftsmanship poured into the project by Bri and her father. This Nissan Pick Up King Cab stands as a shining example of what can be achieved with determination, creativity, and a modest budget. As Bri continues to pursue her automotive dreams, she looks forward to future endeavors, including building a hot pink truck with a hair-moving audio system.
Whether you appreciate the meticulous paintwork, the attention to detail in the interior, or the story of a young enthusiast realizing her automotive vision, Stomper is a testament to the boundless possibilities that lie within the realm of custom automotive transformations.
