What was the inspiration?
MY DAD AND I HAVE WORKED ON CUSTOM VEHICLES FROM THE TIME I TURNED 14 YEARS OLD. WHEN I WAS YOUNG AND DUMB, I WOULD USE AND ABUSE, BREAK, OR BLOW UP MOTORS. MY PUNISHMNET WOULD BE WORKING TO PAY FOR THE PARTS AND LEARNING HOW TO FIX THEM. WHILE LIVING IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, MY DAD AND I WORKED ON MUSCLE CARS, VW’S, VANS, MOTORCYCLES, MINI TRUCKS, OR ANYTHING WITH A MOTOR. AS A KID, I LOVED SEEING ALL THE VEHICLES CRUISING UP THE BEACH BLVD. WHEN WE MOVED NORTH TO SAN JOSE, IT WAS A HUGE LOW RIDER SCENE THAT I ENJOYED WATCHING.
MY FIRST LOWERED VEHICLE WAS STATIC DROPPED 1976 DATSUN BULLET SIDE TRUCK. MY LOVE FOR MINI TRUCKS HAS ONLY GROWN SINCE THIS TRUCK. THE EXCITEMENT MY SON HAS FOR MY MINI TRUCK HAS REIGNITED MY PASSION.
