2003 Chevrolet S10
Blake Moore has been in the mini-truck world since the late 80s, and that interest has been brewing for a while now. He has worked on and built many custom cars, with his current project being the 2003 Chevrolet S10 extended cab, S10tial.
The name S10tial comes from the pandemic era. As Blake was building his truck, everyone was talking about essential workers, so the name came about quite naturally. The truck was built in a year and a half, and the entire process was inspired by Blake’s passion for mini-trucks. He had his first build in 1990, which was a 1970 VW bug.
Blake’s S10tial is built on all Thorbros front and back with Viair 444 C Stealth compressors and Slam Specialties airbags. It features 20-inch Intro Arctic wheels on both front and rear, with 245/35/20 tires, and a stunning custom paint job. The colors used in the paint job are indigo GMC blue, Tamco, slick silver, cant sit with us pink, nitrous blue, and a mix of old and new school graphics.
Blake painted and designed the graphics himself, using a combination of raw metal, 80s/90s splash graphic, and breakaway styles. The hood is a cowl, with a Trex grille and Envoy bumpers. The truck is also outfitted with two legacy sliding ragtops and a Leer 100xq topper with a 40×60 sliding ragtop. The interior boasts a purple suede headliner, paint-matched plastics, and a Forever Sharp steering wheel.
For sound, S10tial uses a Pioneer head unit, Sounddigital amps, Focal, and Gladen speakers. The windows are tinted to 5%. Blake is planning to body the truck in the future to get it closer to the ground and work on the interior.
Blake thanks many people for the help and support he received during the S10tial build, including Jeremiah Sibray, Nick VanDeventer, Kelly Downs, Roger Hauersperger, the crew at Tamco, and most importantly, his wife.
Blake’s S10tial is a 2003 Chevy S10 and a testament to his skills and dedication to building amazing custom cars. He has successfully built a unique mini-truck with great attention to detail and an incredible design that stands out from the crowd.
