Vehicle history
A friend, Trent Trimble found the car and a parts car in a junk yard in Colorado. I made two trips from IL to CO to pick them up.
Thanks to
I've been fortunate to have had so much support throughout the build of this car resulting in many people to acknowledge. Air Ride Technologies developed an air ride system for the car. Dan Vance was instrumental in the wiring of the car and working out the bugs. Several folks with Axalta including James Koch and Tom Mellis helped get the Axalta sponsorship for the paint products. Lynne Peters Photography for her amazing photos which helped get the car selected for the 2016 Axalta calendar. Richard Izui for the photos taken for the calendar. Street Rodder Magazine, Scott Johnson with Dakota Digital, Jeanne Hyawtt with Wilwood Marketing for including Big Sexy in their publications. Thanks to Mickey Smith with Axalta, for helping me realize a dream of getting to SEMA. Along the way, I also developed new friends, Henry Flores and Tommy Pike who came too my aid on the 2015 Power Tour. Last but not least my family including my wife, Lynnette for being so patient and supportive; my late father for always being there; my biggest fan and father-in-law, John Beatty who hauled my car to some of the shows. Chris Kemp for the use of his enclosed trailer. I thought I was building a car, but it turned out to be so much more than that. I'm grateful for all the things I've learned, the people I've met, the places I've been and the opportunities still to come.
