What was the inspiration?
When I was a kid, My Father always bought a new Cadillac about 6 years in a row! Then when I was14, my Mother bought a 1967 Coupe DeVille. It was the beginning of my Love of Cadillacs! Fast Forward 31 YEARS and in 2010 I purchased a 1967 Calais 4-Door Hardtop... This car inspired me to make it my own with the help of Ground Pounders Customs. After the 67' was purchased, I started looking online at other 1960's Cadillacs and found this Show-Stopper 1965 Convertible For Sale about 4 hours from home. I went to see it and made the purchase within a couple weeks.
How long did it take you to build?
This 65' was completely "DONE" when I bought it. My Dad, an avid Car Collector always said; "Son, Buy it DONE... It's less expensive and Time is Money"!
How long have you been building?
I am NOT a Builder... I just like to make changes to my Cars and Trucks because I want it to be different, to be MINE. I am lucky enough to know many people in the customization and fabrication industry.
Club Affiliations

Your future plans?
To DRIVE my cars and Trucks every Day during the warm-weather months and even though this Cadillac is a "Piece of Art" in my opinion... It does NOT hang on the wall, It was built to Drive and Enjoy!
Vehicle history
This was a 4-Year Build, I have an vast knowledge of the particulars - because before, during and after I bought this vehicle, I contacted the builder; Ken Mauger of Ken's Body and Chassis for the back-story on the Car, I had it delivered to him to "go over it" for me and Ken shared ALL the build photos. There are over 500 photos.
Thanks to
Dan "Double D" Davis for shooting my Car!
