Model: Cheyenne Ruether
Photos by: Chris Gosda
For our December 2025 Gauge Magazine Issue, weโre closing out the year with a woman who embodies everything the custom automotive world is built onโskill, passion, grit, style, and a whole lot of personality. Meet Cheyenne Ruether, a 34-year-old auto body restorer, model, mom, builder, and all-around powerhouse whose life revolves around horsepower, fabrication, family, and fearless creativity. Photographed by the talented Chris Gosda, Cheyenneโs feature brings a bold, authentic energy that caps off the year perfectly.
A Builder First, a Model Always
Cheyenne isnโt just another pretty face in front of the cameraโsheโs been in the automotive trenches for 18 years, laying down bodywork, paint, metal shaping, and restoration with the kind of experience that demands respect. At 5’9″, with brunette hair, brown eyes, and tattoos โall overโincluding a paint gun,โ she brings an unmistakable edge.
While many models simply pose next to the cars, Cheyenne restores them, builds them, and lives the lifestyle every single day. Modeling is just another creative outlet for her. And according to Cheyenne, the best part of modeling is simple: โTell us what you enjoy most about modeling.โ (Weโll feature her full quote when received.)
A True Gearhead On and Off Camera
If sheโs not modeling, youโll find Cheyenne exactly where youโd expectโin the garage with her kids, wrenching on her in-progress 1966 Impala Restomod, or loading up to ride the dunes, take her girls dirtbike raving, or hit the road for some RV life adventures.
Sheโs not just raising kidsโsheโs raising future gearheads.
Car Shows? Absolutely.
Cheyenne loves hitting automotive events, especially shows where passion speaks louder than words. Her favorite part?
โLove seeing everyoneโs passion come to life. Thereโs good, bad, and everything in between.โ
Itโs the honesty and humanity of the automotive worldโthe craftsmanship, the attempts, the triumphs, and even the failuresโthat fuel her.
Her must-attend show is still to be confirmed, but with her Impala build coming together, you can bet sheโll be cruising it through the gates as soon as itโs ready.
What She Thinks of Gauge Magazine
Cheyenneโs been around this industry long enough to know real coverage when she sees it. In her words:
โGreat mag with a ton of varietyโlove all the staff! Great coverage of shows.โ
Weโll take that compliment any day.
Personality in Four Words
Cheyenne sums herself up in four legendary lines:
Sassy. Classy. Badassy. Smartassy.
We couldnโt agree more.
What Revs Her Motor
Forget modern aero-heavy silhouettes or crazy angles. Cheyenne is all about the classics:
โA sexy sleek car or truckโlate 60’s body styles. Crispy bodylines and shiny paint.โ
Clean, straight, timeless metal. The kind of build where restoration experience isnโt optionalโitโs mandatory.
What Makes Her Hit the Brakes
Even the coolest girl in the showgrounds has her limits:
-
People who donโt know how to drive
-
Loud eaters
-
People who talk on speakerphone in public
Words of wisdom to live by.
Future Plans
Cheyenneโs looking ahead with a mix of adventure and ambition:
โTravel more, finish my โ66 Impala, and take it to some shows.โ
Thatโs the kind of future we love to seeโmore travel, more builds, more exposure, more family memories, and a whole lot more horsepower.
A Life Fueled by Family, Fabrication, and Fun
With years of experience, a solid reputation in the automotive world, and a personality that commands attention, Cheyenne Ruether is the perfect fit for our final issue of 2025. Sheโs real, sheโs raw, sheโs hands-on, and sheโs built for this industry from the ground up.
The automotive world needs more women like Cheyenneโwomen who donโt just pose with the carโฆ they build it, live it, and breathe it.
