DESCRIPTION:On October 7 the Vintage Torque staff and volunteers will be bringing another exciting event that caters to the traditional builders and backyard enthusiasts who break knuckles and bust their bodies to bring their automotive dreams to life.\nThe show kicks off at the McHenry County Fairgrounds on Friday around 6pm. Surf Zombies will be rocking into the night. Then\, Saturday at 8:00 a.m. Iron Invasion opens to the public.\nHead to McHenry County Fairgrounds for a day of grease\, gas\, and steel. The fairgrounds is located at 1050 Country Club Rd\, Woodstock\, IL 60098. (1 mile north of route 14 on route 47. The fairgrounds are next to 975 Country Club Road. When you see McDonalds\, Jewel Osco\, and Panera Bread\, turn east at Country Club Rd\, come to the furthest gate right across from 1050 Country Club Road.)\n“Iron Invasion hopes to continue in the footsteps of those who have paved the path of tradition. Join us in a celebration of good people\, good music\, and maybe a little gear grinding in Woodstock\, Illinois.”\nThe following are just some of the highlights that you can expect at Iron Invasion:\nTraditional hot rods\, kustoms\, and cycles\nMotorcycle giveaway\nLIVE MUSIC! Outlaw Country\, Western Swing and Rockabilly vibrations will get your feet a movin’\nTin Butchers Swap Meet (this is NOT a flea market–vintage parts and automobile ONLY)\nClassic Pin Up Contest\nVendors from California\, Texas\, and New York–and points in between\nToday’s hottest contemporary lowbrow and automotive artists\nCar Club Hand Made Trophy Picks\nVintage Mini Bike racing sponosored by Mini Bike Weirdo\nOriginal Lowbrow Art Auction\nFLame throwing car exhibition\nBurn out pad for participating cars\nRemember – ALL cars and cycles are a part of the show\, but there is segregated parking on site.\nThis will be an event designed for one purpose–to have fun and raise money for kids with congenital heart defects. Gate proceeds go directly to Helping Hannah’s Heart Foundation – a 501(c)3 dedicated to helping families with children suffering from congenital heart defects. The atmosphere is laid back and the rides here are driven. Only $10 when you purchase advance tickets (advance tix must be purchased before 9-28-17) $15 day of show.\nNO CHARGE to show your ride.
