Team Akatsuki Spring Showcase was held April 17th, 2021 in Hickory, North Carolina. This show was the BEST way to start off the car show season!
With cars rolling in at specific time slots that were pre-registered and a window of opportunity for those not registered yet to roll in, the entry into the show was a smooth as butter. The parking lot at the stadium is set up on a hill with various levels so it made for a unique view of the vehicles whether at the bottom or the top.
Inside the stadium, you could find a variety of VIP style cars within the ‘vip area’ along the concession stand concourse. Out front at Team Akatsuki Spring Showcase you had a DJ and a few cars and a row of custom motorcycles on the first base side followed by a row of Team RPM vehicles. On the 3rd base side you could find a variety of food and miscellaneous vendors.
Across the street started the outdoor portion of the show with Team Akatsuki’s members cars parked in a display area next to vendors from their cleaning brand as well as Klean Society and other vendors. As you walked the lines of cars you could find almost every make and model of car there from stanced to vip to race inspired to track cars, mild and wild, lifted and lowered trucks, classics and restored cars, Harleys, sport bikes and even Rukus’s as well as some unique right hand drive Japanese cars including an old fire chiefs right hand drive car.
With the spring temps still in the are and the rain holding off, it made for a perfect day for car enthusiasts to get out and about and show off their latest modifications, see old friends, make new ones and just have a great time at Team Akatsuki Spring Showcase.
