What was the inspiration?
My dad built this truck to blend both worlds of business and pleasure. He loved to build projects and show them...what better way to market his business. He wanted to display the benefits of powder coating over liquid finishes. He also wanted this truck to dub as the shop truck. He wanted a killer display for car shows to get people really excited about the benefits of powder coating. No doubt my dad, Greg Peterson, wanted to showcase what Extreme Powder Coating is capable of. Custom coating rods was his passion and his quality standards laid the foundation to build a solid business. If he was still here with us today, he would be inspiring all of us with the many plans he had for the future. This truck is a tribute to all the friends and fine artists who worked on the truck! Thank You! Greg was diagnosed with Leukemia in summer of 2013 and passed away the following November due to complications following chemo therapy treatments. His employees and friends at Extreme Powder Coating, Dain Schultz and Steve Behne, with the help of Courtney Schaeffer (Twin City Rod & Custom) were able to get the build complete and travel to shows in the 2014 season.
