Slamology 2022 Tattoo Contest presented by Steel Rod Tattoo was held in Brownsburg, Indiana at Lucas Oil Raceway from June 10-12, 2022. If you had a sick piece of tattoo artwork that you were wanting to show off, then the Tattoo Contest was where you wanted to be! This year marked the 10th annual tattoo contest at Slamology and makes Slamology the longest running tattoo contest in Indiana.
We have always loved having this event in the show. Many of our attendees have beautiful artwork that they have spent hundreds of dollars and hours on. All of the tattoos have amazing stories behind them and we love to see them and that is why we have continued on with the Tattoo Contest!
At Slamology 2022 Tattoo Contest you can see people who are covered from head to toe in tattoos, some with entire sleeves, back pieces, and chest pieces! No matter how many they have, everyone in the tent took the time to enjoy every contestants unique tattoo!
Awards were given out for the following categories in 1st-3rd place:

- Best Leg
- Best Torso
- Large Black n Grey Small
- Black n Grey Large
- Color Small Color
- Best Gear Head
- Best Apprentice Tattoo
- Best of Show Best
- Traditional Best Portrait
It is always hard when you have so many contestants with amazing work to choose a winner. This year, the artwork was so amazing that many people took home more than one award. There were so many pieces that were so realistic, you just couldn’t quit looking at them in awe!
It was an amazing year for the Slamology 2022 Tattoo Contest and we congratulate everyone who took home an award. Your tattoos are amazing and beyond appreciated and we hope that the awards you took home show you that!
