Slamology 20/21 Tattoos was held at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, IN on June 11-13, 2021. Our tattoo contest was hosted by Steel Rod Tattoo and has been one of our favorite parts of the show. Whether you have a totally rad tattoo or one you regret some a drunken night, we have an award for it and we want you to show it off!
Sunday of the show, the Slamology 20/21 Tattoo Contest tent fills with contestants wanting to take home an award for their tattoo. You can see people who are covered from head to toe in tattoos, some with entire sleeves, back pieces, chest pieces, and you will see with very few as well! No matter how many they have, everyone in the tent took the time to enjoy every contestants tattoo and the judges did as well!
The awards were broken down into these specific categories for the contest. Where the participants won 1st-3rd place awards in these classes; Automotive, New School, Pin-Up, Portrait, Cover Up, Leg , Arm , Back , Traditional , Small Black and Grey – Below 6″, Large Black and Grey – Larger than 6″, Small Full Color – Below 6″, Large Full Color – Larger than 6″, Piercing, Worst Tattoo, Overall Male – 1st Place Only, Overall Female.
No matter how many contestants come to the Slamology 20/21 Tattoos (which is always ALOT) the judges have a hard time choosing who is taking home what tattoo. With the crowd assisting the judges in one way or another, each person who took home an award had beautiful artwork on their body and should be proud of what they have! Even those who didn’t leave with an award, the amount of amazing artwork on contestants bodies was AMAZING!
We cannot wait to see what new artwork will be taking home an award at Slamology 2022!
