James Dean Classic Car Show 2021 was held in Fairmont, Indiana from September 24-26, 2021. This event brings in the most beautiful 50’s classic and custom autos during the James Dean Festival!
Every day at the show is there is multiple things going on that involve James Dean. Friday, the 24th, the day started off with registration at 9 am. With judging for the Top 20 beginning at noon, owners were seen shinning their rides getting ready for the judges. Awards for the Top 20 for Saturday were given away at 5PM as well as the $500 cash drawing! The night ended with the Muffler Rap Contest at 8:30 and the Flame Throw Contest at 9.
Saturday came quickly With Top 20 judging beginning at noon as well as the 9th annual Mopar Corral judging. After judging, you were able to enjoy the Parade of Neon at 3PM and then awards for the Top 20 for Saturday were given away at 5PM. You were also able to see who the winner for the $100 ‘Merc Owners Only’ prize and the $500 Cash Drawing went to!
Sadly, Sunday started and that meant it was the last day for the James Dean Classic Car Show 2021. Registration opened again at 8AM with judging for classes following not too long after at 9AM as well as Pastor Ted Payne and Mississinewa Valley Swing Band played. Classes for Sundays judging included: Mild Custom, 50’s Custom, Street Machine, Muscle Cars, Sports Car, Commercial, Pro Street, Street Rod Coupe, Street Rod , Street Rod Sedan, and much more! Awards were given at 2 PM as well as the last $200 ‘Mercs Owners Only’ prize.
There were many events going on along side the James Dean Classic Car Show 2021 including James Dean look-alike contest, dance contest, carnival rides and lots of fun along Main Street in the heart of James Dean’s hometown of Fairmount.
We are ready to be at the 2022 event!
