What was the inspiration?
They say it takes two to tango. It all started seven years ago when I met my husband. He surely pulled me into this mini bagged car scene. Although I must say, I have 5 brothers so growing up with CARS (imports - fast & furious kinda thing) has always been around me. I just didnโ€™t imagine one day I will have one of my own. After I met my husband, sure enough he suckered me into it. We initially brought this truck as a daily driver. Something we can haul stuff around in. After countless bagged cars and trucks Iโ€™ve seen, I told my husband I might as well have a bagged vehicle of my own. So from there on out, we have been doing a little upgrade each year! To some people this may be just a truck, but to others that have seen how it was and how it is now, every little corner that has been touched. All the work done to this truck has been done at home in our garage. This truck has never been to a shop. Weโ€™ve put a lot of time, sweat & tears into it. I really wanted to make it into something that I would enjoy as far as the colors and the interior not realizing that many people will actually care for it the way I do and that is wonderful to know. Thank you!

2003 Chevrolet S10

2003 Chevy S10 owned by Summer Talbert

The 2003 Chevy S10 owned by Summer Talbert, also known as the Lavender Lotus, is an impressive truck that has been customized with intricate details and stunning paintwork. The truck has been upgraded over the course of six years, all done in the Talbert family garage, with the goal of creating something unique and enjoyable.

Summer’s love for the Lavender Lotus stems from her favorite color and flower, which inspired the truck’s name. The truck was initially purchased as a daily driver but gradually transformed into a fully customized ride with custom paint and interior modifications.

The Lavender Lotus boasts a 4.3 V6 engine and a C-notch bag over axel frame modification. It also has Riddler wheels with 17-inch front and rear tires. The truck’s Lavender color was achieved using DBC Chromabase paint, while the graphics were designed by Summer and completed by her husband, Greg Talbert, and Shane Vigil.

The Lavender Lotus’s interior features a custom-built center console, civic seats covered in leather, and a covered dash with painted door panels. The upholstery is by Greg Talbert, with seats covered by 515 upholstery.

Despite having no affiliations with any car clubs, the Lavender Lotus has captured the hearts of many car enthusiasts. Summer’s future plans for the truck include getting bigger wheels and adding more paintwork.

Overall, the Lavender Lotus is a testament to the passion and hard work that goes into customizing a ride. The Talbert family’s dedication and love for the Lavender Lotus have produced a stunning truck that is sure to turn heads wherever it goes.
