“WRKHRD”
In the world of custom car enthusiasts, every vehicle tells a story. For Jeremy Dickerson, his 1996 Chevrolet S10, aptly named “WRKHRD”, isn’t just a means of transportation; it’s a testament to his dedication, skill, and a lifelong passion for mini trucks.
The Journey of WRKHRD
This remarkable journey began with a modest purchase: a non-running Virginia salt spreader truck acquired for $500. From these humble beginnings, Jeremy’s vision took shape, leading to a complete transformation over five years. The journey wasn’t easy – the S10 was rebuilt five times. As Jeremy puts it, he was “never happy with how it turned out because I knew I could do better.”
Specs and Modifications
Under the hood, the ’96 Chevy engine, though small with four cylinders, has been meticulously maintained and matched to the truck’s color. A stock/back half chassis, featuring mmw control arms and a cool cars 4 link with a custom air tank, speaks to Jeremy’s attention to detail.
The body of the S10, painted in 2015 Audi Nardo Gray, features a 3.75″ body drop. It stands on ADR turbine wheels, size 20 both front and rear, encased in 225/35/20 tires. The interior showcases a creatively sectioned 59 Impala dashboard, Summit racing gauges, and a red marine grade vinyl diamond stitching – all reflecting Jeremy’s craftsmanship.
The Drive Behind WRKHRD
Jeremy’s inspiration dates back to his early teens. “Been into mini trucks since I was 13 and always said I’d build one.” And build he did, with past projects including a ’93 body drop s10 and a ’96 ext. Cab bodied s10, among others. But WRKHRD is special – it embodies Jeremy’s unrelenting drive to improve and excel.
A Family and Community Affair
Building such an extraordinary vehicle is never a solo venture. Jeremy expresses heartfelt thanks to his wife, son, parents, and close friends for their support. He’s also a proud member of Xtreme Lowz, a club affiliation that underscores his commitment to the mini truck community.
Future Aspirations
The future looks bright and shiny for WRKHRD, with plans for a full airbrush and a powder-coated red B.A.D billet rockstars. This Chevrolet S10, a canvas of Jeremy’s dedication, is set to evolve further, pushing the boundaries of custom truck aesthetics.
A Tribute to the Mini Truck Scene
Jeremy’s 1996 Chevrolet S10 stands as more than just a vehicle; it’s a tribute to the mini truck scene, a testament to family support and friendship, and a symbol of what one can achieve with hard work and determination. Photographed by Chris Gosda, this Chevy S10, nestled in Eolia, KY, is not just a truck – it’s a narrative of passion, a story of never settling for less, and a beacon for truck enthusiasts everywhere.
