A brainchild of Willy Trump and the creative hands of Jo Kerr Fabrications in Brownsburg, IN, this Ford Roadster is lovingly dubbed “The Old Girl”. Powered by a 78 Chevy 283 Rodster engine, with 8 cylinders that are bored 80 over, she’s not just a beauty but also a beast.

The Machinist Gray color, a product of Sherman Williams, gives this Roadster a look of elegance, which is further accentuated by the pinstriping artistry of Josh Shaw from Cincinnati, OH. It’s not just the external aesthetics that leave an impression. Delve inside, and the classic instrument gauges catch your eye, along with a steering wheel and shifter masterfully crafted by Jo Kerr.

Behind the Build

Inspired by a ride in Jo Kerr’s Model A, Willy Trump wanted a Hot Rod to call his own. With a twinkle in his eye and a dream in his heart, he embarked on a year and a half journey, dedicating nights and weekends to bring “The Old Girl” to life. Having been in the car-building scene for 10 years, Willy’s passion shines through in this Roadster, evident from the awards she bagged – two Builder Awards at the Detroit Auto Rama.

But what’s a car without a story? Built on a stringent budget, with immense love, time, and patience from his wife, Theresa, and the invaluable support from Jo Kerr of Jo Kerr Fabrications, this car stands as a testament to dedication and hard work.

The Intricate Details

The Roadster sits on a custom chassis, modified with American Stamping Rails and Boxing. A unique touch to the interiors includes the 3rd row mini-van seat, shortened by 3 inches and lowered by 4, upholstered by The Canvas Guy from Cincinnati, OH. From the original wire wheels, sprint car style bumpers to the Salt flats inspired style tonneau cover, every detail screams of vintage charm and unparalleled craftsmanship.

A nod to its engine prowess, the 1932 Ford Roadster boasts a transfer case of 700 R4 with Ford axles and gears at 4.10, making sure that she’s as smooth on the road as she is pleasing to the eyes.
