What was the inspiration?
In october 2016 my family suffered a total loss house fire where we lost 2 custom trucks, 1 daily, 1 car trailer and the entire house. This was the resurrection from that fire for me. I wanted to build something that would fit the family in the vehicle without taking a second vehicle. I also wanted to incorporate things in the build that were hot when i started in this lifestyle, so that is why there is lots of billet, a topper and sliding rag tops.
How long did it take you to build?
I got lucky to find the truck in another state that had some of the work already completed. I tore the truck down as soon as we moved into our new home after the house fire. It was originally done with in 3 months but there are constant changes that I am adding to the truck. This season introduced the solid topper, custom interior, billet accents inside the cab and new to my truck wheels.
How long have you been building?
I started building trucks back in high school, so it has been over 20 years. My first truck was a 81 Ford 100 then a 92 S10.

Your future plans?
Update the air management, add more details to the paint, powder coating of the suspension parts and maybe eventually a body drop but that is not a priority to me.
Vehicle history
Vehicle started life as a single cab 95 S10. The frame was stretched 33in to accommodate the crew cab addition. 99 Isuzu front clip and bed were added to the build to make it a one of a kind Hombre crewcab.
Thanks to
I want to thank my wife and kids for being there with me through this journey. Life delt us a stiff hand but we rebounded very well and together. I have to give a shout out to my Sunset Illinois Chapter members that have given me tons of advice and ideas on this build. They were the primary inspiration for the topper and the double sliders in the build. All my friends and family that have been there with the support and love to continue doing what I love.
