“Hollywood”
Introducing Lee Pittman’s 1999 Chevrolet Silverado: “Hollywood”
Lee Pittman’s 1999 Chevrolet Silverado, named “Hollywood,” is a true standout in the world of custom trucks. This impressive ride is a 5.7 Vortech-powered Silverado with a 4-inch traditional body drop, raised factory fuel tank tubbed for 26s, and a 3-link wishbone rear set up. The truck’s name is fitting, as it draws attention just like the iconic “Hollywood” sign.
Pittman’s inspiration for this build was to create a truck that would stand out and draw attention, inspiring others to build their own bagged trucks. He’s the President and State Rep for the Ground Level Illinois Chapter and plans to redo all air management and narrow the rear end and front A-arms in the future.
Pittman’s supportive wife and club family, along with his social media friends and family, are all appreciated for their support of the build. Pittman has had too many previous rides to list, but “Hollywood” is truly a standout among them.
The truck’s engine is a 5.7 Vortech from 1999 with a V8, and it sits on KMC wheels with 24-inch fronts and rears wrapped in 275/35/24 tires. The air management consists of 2 Viair 480C compressors and Air Lift 2600 bags.
The truck’s custom airbrush paint job is a woodgrain pattern inside and out with light flames coming off the front fenders. Jason Maddox painted the truck and did the graphics as well. The body drop is 4 inches, and the interior features a sanded and smoothed dashboard painted to match. The steering wheel is a B.A.D. wheel painted to match, and the head unit is a Sony with Skar speakers. The custom-made factory Silverado seats have been wrapped in a two-tone peanut butter with cream stitching by Nick VanDeventer.
Lee Pittman’s “Hollywood” is a true work of art that inspires others to build their own custom bagged trucks. It’s clear that Pittman has put in a lot of hard work and dedication to make this truck a reality, and the end result is truly impressive. This truck is a testament to the fact that anything is possible with a little imagination, hard work, and dedication
