December 13, 2022 By Gauge Magazine

North Carolina Builder Introduces New Classic with Eighties Era Aesthetic in Modern C10 Made for Driving Today 1984 C10

CONCORD, NC (December X, 2022) – Renowned classic car builder, Retro Designs, is proud to unveil their latest restomod creation, a stunning 1984 Chevy C10 that has been expertly modified for modern driving conditions. Originally celebrated as the โ€œGlamour Pickupsโ€ of the 1970โ€™s and 1980โ€™s, the Chevy C10 quickly became celebrated for its sharp design and powerful performance. 50 years later, the beloved truck remains one of the most sought-after vintage pickups of all time. Expert engineering by Retro Designs and the companyโ€™s use of top-quality parts transform this popular rig into one that can enjoyably tackle anything in its path.C10 Motor Swap

โ€œThe C10 is one of the most famous pickup trucks ever made, so to have the opportunity to improve and restore this model with the best in modern technology was such a great experience,โ€ comments Retro Designs General Manager Daniel Valjevac. โ€œWhile staying true to the vintage design of the truck on the outside, we made powerful upgrades to almost every system tucked underneath, including an LS1 engine that can produce up to 325 horsepower. The end result is a one-of-a-kind classic pickup truck that immediately makes a statement out on the open road and also has the power and drivability to seamlessly handle todayโ€™s driving conditions.โ€

Following a full resto-modification process and over eight months of build time, Retro Designsโ€™ new 1984 C10 is the perfect balance of classic old school style paired with the latest in modern technology. Underneath the C10โ€™s fierce black powder coat exterior, the powerful LS1 engine is mated to a 4L65E transmission under the hood. An American Autowire wiring harness and Wilwood brakes further enhance the truckโ€™s driving performance capabilities and ensures driver safety.

C10 Interior

Included in the thousands of hours of restoration, the new Retro Designs C10 features a completely custom interior with hand stitched seats, header and more. The C10โ€™s blacked out interior is made up of TMI black leather seating and accessories are period correct with Dakota digital gauges and specialty LED lighting tastefully installed throughout to ensure easy cabin navigation. An upgraded sound system along with modern speakers were also integrated into the C10.

All Retro Designs builds start at $180,000. For more information on Retro Designs and their available builds, please visit www.retrodesignsnc.com or call (704) 721-0835
