“63”
In the world of classic car enthusiasts, few vehicles embody the spirit of their era, but this 1963 Chevrolet Impala owned by Chris Lynch does the job!
Why ’63? Christopher keeps it simple and profound – “that’s what is us.” The year 1963 holds a special place in the heart of this Impala owner, capturing the essence of an era in a single number.
Make no mistake; the star of the show is a Chevrolet Impala from 1963, a true masterpiece from a time when cars were not just transportation but expressions of art. With its timeless design, the ’63 Impala stands as a testament to the craftsmanship of an era long gone.
The inspiration behind this stunning Impala comes from the NWA era, West Coast cars, and the likes of Easy E, Dr. Dre, and Ice Cube. These iconic figures and their cultural impact have left an indelible mark on the ’63 Impala.
While the exact time and cost of the build are unspecified, what’s evident is the dedication and love poured into every aspect of this Impala. Christopher Lynch’s passion for classic cars is a lifelong commitment.
The ’63 Impala is proudly associated with the Ecstasy Car Club, a community that shares the same passion for classic automobiles.
Christopher has exciting plans for his Impala’s future, including upgrades like H.E.I. ignition, disc brakes, and Dayton rims. These enhancements promise to elevate the driving experience and aesthetic appeal of this classic beauty.
Christopher Lynch’s automotive journey extends beyond the ’63 Impala, with a roster that includes a 1994 1LE Chevy Camaro Z28, a 1987 Pontiac Formula 350, a 1987 Olds Cutlass Supreme, and a 2007 Mercedes CLS63 AMG. Each vehicle reflects a unique chapter in his love affair with automobiles.
The heart of this Impala is a Chevrolet engine from 1963, featuring 283 cubic inches and eight cylinders. Various modifications and additions, including chrome valve covers and air cleaner, enhance both performance and aesthetics.
The chassis of the ’63 Impala boasts air ride front and rear shocks, providing a smooth and comfortable ride. The driveline components remain stock, ensuring reliability and authenticity.
Cragar SS wheels measuring 14×8 inches are wrapped in p185/70/r14 tires, while the Impala’s exterior exudes elegance with a turquoise single-stage paint finish. Chrome bumpers and a chrome grille add a touch of sophistication.
Inside the cabin, you’ll find a chrome chain steering wheel, an Alpine CDE172BT head unit, and a JL RD 900/5 amplifier powering two 10-inch JL 10W3v3 subwoofers. Jeff Sharick is responsible for the impeccable stereo installation.
Christopher Lynch’s 1963 Chevrolet Impala ’63 is a true masterpiece of automotive history, a testament to classic car enthusiasts who appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of a bygone era. With its timeless design, cultural inspiration, and future plans for enhancement, the ’63 Impala is more than just a car – it’s a work of art on wheels, a symbol of passion, and an enduring classic in the world of automobiles.
