Still Runs 2023, held in Albemarle, NC on May 13th, 2023, was a resounding success, drawing enthusiasts from far and wide. The weather played a crucial role this year, with Mother Nature gracing the event with only a brief sprinkle, a complete change from the downpour experienced in 2022. The beautiful weather conditions paved the way for a large increase in attendance, which in return brought in a more diverse array of vehicles.
From sleek imports and finely-tuned tuners to roaring motorcycles, towering lifted trucks, sleek bagged trucks, mesmerizing lowriders, rugged rat rods, exquisite customs, timeless classics, and sleek late models, the event boasted an impressive assortment of automotive rides. Safe to say, we were not prepared for what Still Runs 2023 brought us!
Along with all of the vehicles, the event gave us even more by bringing HOT pinup models, gracefully mingling with attendees throughout the day. The eagerly anticipated pinup contest witnessed a record-breaking participation, with over 25 ladies vying for the coveted title, Miss Still Runs 2023. Out of 25, there can only be one and who wouldn’t want to receive that tile?!
The esteemed panel of judges, comprising Billie Jayne DeVille, Dolly Jax, and Mandy Frank, brought their discerning eye to select the ultimate pinup queen amidst the dazzling array of contestants. In addition to the pinup extravaganza, attendees also had the opportunity to showcase their ink and facial hair in the tattoo, beard, and mustache contest, adding a unique flair to the event. It was a first for us with a beard and mustache contest, but we hope to see it again at the 2024 show!
Adding to the excitement were special guest appearances by the charismatic Georjah Erin, who delighted fans with her presence, posing for photographs, signing autographs, and even lending her charm to impromptu photo shoots alongside the stunning vehicles.
As the day came to a close, attendees departed with memories of an unforgettable event, eagerly marking their calendars for Still Runs 2024. With promises of Georjah’s return, alongside the captivating pinup ladies and an ever-expanding lineup of awe-inspiring rides, anticipation for the next year’s event is already reaching fever pitch.
