Meaning Behind the Name
Simple enough, it's an explorer filled with Audiopipe, also I was exploring so many different Audiopipe components that I never really knew what combination I was going to end up using

What was the inspiration?
I'm an old school audiophile and believe that neatness counts. I was inspired by what i saw in the early 90s of car audio. Fukuda, Gates, even Sam Horn inspired my creativity. I really wanted something loud and clean. I believe that the installation should look and sound amazing. I wanted to use an underdog brand to show people it didn't take a fortune to produce a high end sound. I was in the right place at the right time with an ambitious group of talented people who decided to jump with me on thie initial build. I'd like to think we inspired each other's creativity and the result was way better than I ever imagined
How long did it take you to build?
The first version of the build was done in 2010 and was built in 7days in order to make a photo shoot. That included the paint and bodywork you see today. The explorer has been evolving ever since. Adding the body kit, the air ride and the ever evolving audio builds. The latest add ons taking place at slamology. I keep saying this is the last change....but we'll see
How long have you been building?
I started really building audio at 15, that was 1988...after hearing Paul Revere by the Beasties while working pumping gas at sohio....that warped bass pounding from 2 earthquake 15s in a mustang hatchback....I was hooked. I went to Sun TV bought 2 10s and a sherwood amp and put behind the seat of a ranger. The next year I was working part time at a local stereo shop " Custom Stereo Workshop " I put 4 "thump" 8s in the ranger. By 1993 I was at CES in Las Vegas with a short bed ranger with a snugtop with 16 18 inch subs and 32 amplifiers in the bed. 40 speakers....its in my blood

Your future plans?
I really want to do an old school build in a tandem mini or a late 40s early 50s bread truck
Vehicle history
Bought from Ricart Ford in 2001 I had no intentions of building a bass vehicle. I started small, a couple 10s then 12s then a full visonik build with 2 15s on 4k. Inverted subs, it was clean. Then I built an all fiberglass Audiopipe build in 09'. 4 12s 4 amps and took it to the TWH dealer show and Audiopipe took notice and asked me to display with them. The next year 10 days before the TWH dealer show, Audiopipe called and asked if I had a vehicle for an AP photo shoot....I said of course. Little did they know it was sitting on a rack, no doors and still factory maroon.(,you can see it in one of the pics) 7 of us working almost 24 hours a day for 7 days and we rolled into the show with the paint still tacky. That was version 1.0. This is currently version 5.0

“Audiopipe Explorer”

2001 Ford Explorer owned by Jason Predieri

The 2001 Ford Explorer owned by Jason Predieri is a true testament to the power of car audio. With a build cost of $28,000, this SUV is a sight to behold. The inspiration for this build came from old-school car audio, which emphasized both loud and clean sound. Predieri was determined to show that you don’t need to spend a fortune to get a high-end sound. He opted to use an underdog brand, Audiopipe, to prove his point. The installation of the sound system was done by an ambitious group of talented people in just seven days, including paint and bodywork. The result is version 5.0 of the Audiopipe Explorer, which has been evolving since 2010.

The engine of the 2001 Ford Explorer is a Ford V8 with a displacement of 302 cubic inches. The engine has been modified with ported and polished NGK plugs and wires, Accel coil packs, and an AC delete. The Explorer has also been outfitted with dual alternators, custom power distribution, and custom-painted beauty panels. The suspension has been modified to accommodate front and rear bag anchors, and rubber bump stops have been added to allow the vehicle to be driven even after complete air suspension failure.

The wheels of the 2001 Ford Explorer are Starr with a size of 22 inches. The front and rear tire size is NITTO 265/35 R22. The tank of the air suspension system is painted to match the truck. The body kit is an Extreme Dimensions kit that has been completely modded to fit the four-door Explorer. The rear bumper has an “Audiopipe” cut-out meshed with plexiglass and back-lit.

The interior of the 2001 Ford Explorer has been customized with grey leather with orange inserts. The upholstery description includes fiberglass kick panels, door panels, A-pillars, and roof interior speaker design, all upholstered and/or painted. The C-pillar wall of 18s baffle is also painted to match the truck’s paint. The head unit is an Audiopipe RAD1700BT 6 2 multimedia, and the video system includes a 4-inch video screen. The stereo was installed by Jason Predieri himself.

The 2001 Ford Explorer owned by Jason Predieri is a true masterpiece that showcases the power of car audio. With its underdog brand and a talented group of people working on it, the result is a sight to behold. The Explorer has come a long way since its first build in 2010 and continues to evolve. With its impressive modifications, the 2001 Ford Explorer is truly a one-of-a-kind SUV that’s worth exploring
