What was the inspiration?
Amanda has always been into the tuner car culture. She's owned many many tuner cars from Honda's, Acuras, Mazdas, Subarus and more but this is really the epitome of high end tuner cars in our opinion. There's plenty of build, bagged, and otherwise custom cars but nothing quit like a widebody GTR as far as a show stopper with the performance to back it up.
How long did it take you to build?
We redid a previous build by the previous owner. We turned the car into what you see it as now in about a month at our shop.
How long have you been building?
Ive been tinkering with cars since i can remember. from RC cars, to tuner cars, offroad cars/trucks, PLENTY of trucks but this is the first high end car we have really made into our own.
Your future plans?
For this car this is about it. We need to complete the trunk section before Slam 2021 and retune the car for more boost.
Vehicle history
We bought the car when we were at Sema 2019 and drop it home. Jon saw this car for sale about 6 months before Sema and while we were in Vegas we saw it was for sale still. We met up with the previous owner and Amanda fell in love. The rest is history. We finally made it our own, complete color change, full stereo, modifications to air suspension system and a lot of small tweaks to make it outs.

2009 Nissan GTR

The 2009 Nissan GTR owned by Jon and Amanda Rabe is one impressive high-end tuner car that is sure to turn heads on the streets. With a build cost of $50,000, the car boasts a lot of performance to back up its stunning design. According to Jon and Amanda, the car is the epitome of high-end tuner cars and is a show stopper in every sense of the word.

The inspiration behind the car is Amanda’s love for the tuner car culture. Having owned many tuner cars from Hondas, Acuras, Mazdas, Subarus, and more, Amanda knew that the Nissan GTR was the perfect car for her. With the performance and the stunning widebody design, it was the perfect show car for her.

It took Jon and Amanda about a month to build the car at their shop. Jon has been tinkering with cars since he can remember, from RC cars to tuner cars, off-road cars/trucks, and plenty of trucks. However, this is the first high-end car that they have really made into their own.

As for future plans, Jon and Amanda plan to complete the trunk section before Slam 2021 and retune the car for more boost. The car has already undergone a complete color change, full stereo, modifications to air suspension system, and a lot of small tweaks to make it stand out.

The car is powered by a 3.8L TT Nissan engine with large injectors, downpipe, piping, BOVs, and fabbed overflow tanks. The car also features a one-off titanium full straight pipe by Vault in Phoenix, AZ. The car is built for e85 flex fuel and runs on dual Viari 444C compressors and Air Lift 3h valves. The Nissan GTR is also equipped with Airlift air suspension, drop, Airlift front and rear shocks, Airlift springs, and a Charge Speed hood, grille, bumpers, and wing.

The car is wrapped by Boss Signs and painted by Cliff Viehweg in a Matte Olive Drab color. The JDM Custom 3-piece wheels complete the look of the car, with a 20×10 size in the front and a 20×12 size in the rear. The car also features a Cobb Access Port, B2 Sol8 amps, B2 Audio Ref83 speakers, and a Sky High Car Audio installation.

Overall, the 2009 Nissan GTR owned by Jon and Amanda Rabe is a beautiful example of a high-end tuner car that is sure to turn heads. With its stunning design, impressive performance, and attention to detail, it is easy to see why this car is a showstopper.
