Some builds start with horsepower. Others start with attitude. This Jeep Gladiator build started with pure personalityโand evolved into a fully dialed, SEMA-ready rig that blends show presence with real-world Jeep life.
Owned since new and built over the course of two years, this Gladiator proves that inspiration can come from anywhereโeven a cult-classic movie.
A Bold Inspiration That Turned Heads
The original concept for this Jeep was inspired by the movie Clueless. The first version featured yellow and black plaid graphics and iconic quotes from the film decaled across the body. It was playful, bold, and unapologetically different.
When plans shifted toward SEMA 2023, the build evolved. The movie theme was stripped away in favor of a tougher, more capable setup centered around Bodyguard Bumpers. The result? A Jeep that still stands out visually but now backs it up with serious hardware.
Built Over Time, Not Overnight
This wasnโt a rushed project. From concept to completion, the build took two full years, which also matches the ownerโs journey into the custom vehicle world. With guidance and build management from Maxxed Diesel, the Jeep steadily transformed from stock to showstopper.
Despite the show-level execution, the plan moving forward is refreshingly simple: enjoy life and keep Jeeping on the beach.
Powertrain: Turbocharged and Reliable
Under the hood sits a 2021 Jeep 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder, enhanced with a cold air intake and turbo upgrades. Itโs a smart balance of efficiency and boostโperfect for cruising, shows, and weekend adventures without sacrificing reliability.
The driveline features a Dana 35 trussed axle, backed by a torque converter setup designed to handle both daily use and aggressive tire size.
Suspension That Steals the Show
One of the biggest highlights of this build is the suspension. The Jeep rides on a 6-inch AccuAir air suspension setup, allowing it to lay low for shows or lift up when itโs time to roll.
Key suspension components include:
-
AccuAir 6-inch lift with air bags
-
Dual Viair compressors
-
AccuAir valve management
-
JRI front and rear shocks
The flexibility makes this Gladiator just as comfortable pulling into a show as it is heading down a sandy shoreline.
Wheels, Tires, and Stance
Nothing finishes a lifted Jeep like proper wheels and tires. This build rolls on 20-inch Fittipaldi beadlock wheels wrapped in massive 42-inch tires at all four corners. The aggressive stance perfectly matches the Jeepโs bold color and body armor.
Factory Pink Done Right
The paint is impossible to miss. Finished in Tuscadero Pink, Jeepโs limited-edition factory color, this Gladiator doesnโt rely on wraps or graphics to stand out. The color alone makes a statementโand it pairs surprisingly well with the rugged off-road components.
Body Mods with Purpose
The exterior features a full lineup of functional upgrades, including:
-
Bodyguard bumpers and sliders
-
Bodyguard fenders and inner fenders
-
Light bar bracket
-
Rockmonster hood
-
Rigid Lighting upgrades
All bodywork was handled by Josh Clarkโs Custom Concepts, ensuring clean fitment and show-quality finish throughout.
Interior Comfort Meets Big Audio
Inside, the Jeep balances comfort and serious sound. The cabin features Katzkin leather seats, a clean factory-style dash, and upgraded gauges from US Speedo.
Audio duties are handled by a combination of Stinger and DS18, including:
-
Stinger Hi10 head unit
-
DS18 amplifiers
-
DS18 15-inch subwoofers
-
Custom installation by DS18
The interior was finished with custom upholstery by Scottโs Custom Upholstery, tying the entire build together with a refined, high-end feel.
A Build with Personality and Purpose
From its Clueless-inspired beginnings to its SEMA-ready transformation, this Tuscadero Pink Jeep Gladiator is proof that builds donโt have to follow trends to be successful. Itโs personal, well-executed, and designed to be enjoyedโnot just parked.
With solid sponsors, thoughtful upgrades, and a clear vision, this Jeep stands out in a sea of cookie-cutter buildsโand thatโs exactly the point.
