Hoosier Vintage Wheels Swap Meet and Car Show was held at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Franklin, Indiana from September 17-18, 2021. This event filled over 500 spaces with vendors ready to sell memorabilia, parts for vintage vehicles, muscle cars, and race cars, and more!
Hosting one of the largest swap meets in Indiana, Hoosier Vintage Wheels Swap Meet and Car Show, made sure they put their best foot forward in order to claim that title. Anything that you were needing or wanting for your vehicle, you were able to find it here.
The swap meet and car show have a long history going back over 40 plus years. It was originally held at The Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Then it was moved to the Marion County fairgrounds for about 20 years.
In 2015 Scott Willis took over the event, changed the name to The Hoosier Vintage Wheels Swap Meet and Car Show and moved it to the Franklin Indiana site. The event is held twice a year, once during the 3rd weekend of May and once during the 3rd weekend of September. The car show is always on a Saturday, but the swap meet is Friday and Saturday. The swap meet alone has nearly 600 vendors per event.
Jereme Pelton came on to host the car shows in 2019. The car show went from 30 to 40 rides to 100 plus. The spring show’s name was changed into The Big Mike Mendenhall Memorial car show in 2021 and brought over 300 vehicles.
Jereme’s goal is to bring together all of the car, truck and bike groups into one community, from the hot rodders to Mini Truckers to the lowriders and everyone in between. Plus, giving someone the opportunity to park their car while they look for parts is a hell of a combination. We look forward to seeing everyone on the 3rd weekend of May and September of each yea
This event goes on every third weekend in May and September. If you have thought about attending, what’s stopping you?! We can’t wait to see what the owners and vendors have for the next show!
