What was the inspiration?
Originally got the car back on the road back in 2005 while mom & dad was away on vacation, while all stock body and suspension and a stock 350 with a 5spd, loud duals and fat whitewalls pop had a blast driving it till he past in 2010 only putting 1738mi on it but never really got the attention I think he wanted, after it sit in the garage for over a year not touching it my son and a small group of friends pushed me to completely rebuild it from ground up to make it something pop would of really been proud of

Vehicle history
Dad bought this car in August 1962, everything I know of the Merc is all story's from mom & dad because by the time I was born in 1973 dad had already parked it and I spent my entire childhood playing in it or helping pushing it around. From what I always heard mom complaining about dad would be out racing it on weekends and tearing it up just to spend the next week fixing it to go play again. From where I rebuilt it with all the holes in the floor dad must of changed the seats in it once a month
Thanks to
My son Melvin Weaver for being there and helping push me along the way,Gauge Store and everyone there for the parts help with me constantly changing my mind,Nathan for the awesome NVX audio. Derek Burket for the endless hours he spent in the garage grinding, welding or just bouncing ideas off of and for Litl Bill for the mural on the firewall and stripping for I think that was the most helpful healing of loosing dad, and all the friend that always stop by to lend a hand or just to hang out
