Meaning Behind the Name
Because it looks like the movie car Christine, she was evil so I think it fits the car. Also this car fought us every step of the build.

Build Cost

What was the inspiration?
The 1983 horror movie Christine. Loved the movie and once I saw the car sitting in a corn field in Kansas I knew it would make an awesome ride.
How long did it take you to build?
It took 5 years and 3 shops to complete the build. 1st one got overloaded and couldn't finish, 2nd one went out of business and then took it to the Custom Shop and they finished it and did an excellent job at that!
How long have you been building?
I haven't, don't have the time to. I will do small stuff on my own cars but the major stuff I leave up to the professionals.
Club Affiliations
Been are part of Lowered Expectations for years.
Your future plans?
To drive and enjoy the car! Already bought another car, 76' Plymouth wagon but will just be a lowered cruiser.
Vehicle history
Was a one owner all original car when I found it. Guy won it in a contest back in 58' and garage keep it most of its life. It was a stripo plain Plymouth Plaza with an inline six, no options and with only 80,000 miles on the odometer. It was in very good condition for a 50+ year old car. The only rust was the lower rockers under the doors and the inside floors. The only things it was missing was one hub-cap and the rear trunk lock. The mice ate up the interior pretty good too.
Thanks to
I like to thank the Custom Shop for doing a great job on finishing the build and all the custom work and ideas they had. John Wargo is an excellent builder and a down to earth guy. He knows how to build some really great custom vehicles. I would also like to thank Mahoney's Auto for all the work they did. They are a bunch of great guys.
