Don’t Miss The Car Audio Championship 2018

September 11, 2018 By Gauge Magazine

Car AudioCome and experience the loudest AND best sounding car stereo systems on the planet as they rock the Broadbent Arena at the Kentucky Expo Center on October 13-14, 2018.

The Car Audio Championship is a competition where enthusiasts compete against one another with their car stereo systems. The event will include competition ranging from Sound Quality to Sound Pressure Level. Over 200 vehicles will be on display and competing with their systems in over 50 different formats of competition. Competitors from multiple states as well as Canada and Mexico come together for this one of a kind ³battle of the car stereos.² The sound off organizations of dB Drag Racing (dBDRA), International Autosound Challenge Association (IASCA) and Mobile Electronics Competition Association (MECA) are all partners in producing this event.

This event is a must see for anyone interested in fully customized cars and their car stereos. Extreme vehicles with walls of woofers and thousands of watts of power go head-to-head to see who really has the loudest car stereo system. Show cars will be on display and presenting sound systems so clear, you¹d swear you were at the concert. Vendors will have products on display and showcasing new technology for consumers interested in after market audio and accessories. The event space will occupy over 110,000 square feet and will allow for the maximum allotted show times and we feel this will keep the competition running smoothly.

“Every year, the strength of the Unified Finals effort continues to grow” said Moe Sabourin, Director of Operations for IASCA “We’re proud to be part of our industry and to contribute to its success, along with such great organizations as dB Drag and MECA. Louisville was a huge success; after the show last year, we all agreed that this would be the Unified Finals new home and we’re very excited to have secured the venue for 2018 and be able to announce it well in advance. We look forward to seeing all our fellow car audio enthusiasts in Louisville once again!”

“The dBDRA is super excited to be back in Louisville, KY. The Kentucky Expo Center is a great facility and seems to be centrally located for the competitors. This is a great venue for the FINALS and we are excited to be partnering with IASCA and MECA again this year. This collaborative effort amongst the organizations and competitors is a such a positive experience for the aftermarket auto sound and accessory industry.” Said dB Drag Racing Association Marketing Director, Celise Harris.

Commissioner Steve Stern on the event: “Being a part of the united Car Audio Championship for 2018 is great news for our club members: Competitors, Retailers, and Manufacturers. We are building on the best season we’ve had in years, and the best Finals event in our 20 year history. We appreciate the cooperation and good will we share with dB Drag Racing and IASCA!  We all work together to provide an exciting event for the mobile electronics industry.  Everybody who loves car audio and related gear is invited to participate and enjoy our big car stereo party.
