“Land Lord”

1967 Chevrolet C10

Owned by: Shane Hancock

Photos by: Dan Davis

The April 2026 issue features LAND LORD, a 1967 Chevy C10 that perfectly blends classic style with modern performance upgrades. Named for its connection to rental properties, this truck is a showpiece of craftsmanship, power, and attention to detail, built over two years by a seasoned enthusiast with decades of experience.

Originally purchased for $10,000, LAND LORD has undergone extensive modifications to transform it into a head-turning, high-performance C10. The engine is a 2008 LS 5.3 V8, equipped with a Texas Speed Dumpster Fire cam, gapped rings, BTR valve train, Diamond pistons, and a .30 overbore. Add-ons like a Holley intake, 103 mm throttle body, MSD coils, headers by Speed by Design, and a Concept One front drive make this truck as powerful as it is striking, while polished details bring a clean, refined look.

The drivetrain features a Circle D torque converter, a 12-bolt rear axle with 4.56 gears, and components by Mosier to handle all the power. The chassis is fully custom, with a chopped front and rear, powder-coated frame, and custom brake lines. Air ride suspension with Viair 485 compressor, Airlift SS7 airbags, QA1 shocks, and Wilwood spindles give LAND LORD an adjustable stance thatโ€™s perfect for both cruising and show presentation.

Visually, the truck is a masterpiece. Painted in black and silver with a factory-style two-tone finish, it features shaved drip rails and bed stake pockets, Ring Brothers door handles, 2018 Mustang mirrors, a BNCO grille, LS Fab billet tailgate letters, and one-piece side glass from Brothers. The bed is lined with aluminum by Smokey Road Rod Shop, and smooth chrome bumpers complete the sleek look.

Inside, LAND LORD combines vintage style with modern functionality. The dash features TMI and custom handmade elements, Holley 12.3 gauges, a Raceline steering wheel, and a custom console by Handmade Howard. Kenwood head unit, Kicker amps and speakers, Lokar shifter, TMI seats, and red-and-plaid upholstery tie the interior together, making it both stylish and comfortable.

LAND LORD isnโ€™t just a Chevy C10โ€”itโ€™s a statement of passion, precision, and creativity. Every detail, from the polished engine components to the smoothed dash and custom glass, reflects years of experience and a love for classic trucks, making this build a standout on the streets and at shows alike.
