1967 Chevy Nova

1967 Chevy Nova

The 1967 Chevy Nova is a classic American muscle car that has been customized to become a unique creation named “CaSSaNova”. The owner, John Wargo, opened The Custom Shop in 1988, and he has been building custom cars ever since. The inspiration behind CaSSaNova was to build a cool muscle car with influence from other styles of custom builds. The car took approximately two and a half years to build and cost around $300,000.

The 1967 Chevy Nova was originally a drag car and was stripped down to bare metal to start the customization process. The old rusty metal was replaced with new Good Mark Sheet metal wherever needed, and all the original chrome trim holes were welded up. The car was then customized with a mix of styles, including mini-tubing, subframe connectors, skid plates, and composite envision ground effects.

The engine is a LSX 2006 with 8 cylinders and 376 displacement. It has a Comp Cam thumper cam, Holley EFI system, Sniper Intake, and is pro-charged with an Eddie Motor Sports custom pulley system. The driveline features a billet Haden clutch flywheel, Moser 31 spline axle, and 5:10 gears. The chassis features a Fatman front clip, custom 4-link using an Air Lift Performance system with ViAir dual compressors, and everything is coated with Prizmatic powder and Cerakote.

The wheels are Billet Specialties, and the front and rear wheel sizes are 18×7 and 19×11, respectively, with Proxes Sport A/S Toyo tires. The paint job is a yellow to orange fade with a charcoal bottom, with ProSpray paint and abstract graphics drawn by John Wargo at The Custom Shop. The interior features custom gauges, a Billet Specialties steering wheel, custom-built console, and a Sony XAV-AX8100 9″ touch screen head unit with Sony XS-162ES Mobile ES Series 6-1/2″ component 2 sets and 4 -Sony XS-W104ES Mobile ES Series 10″ 4-ohm component subwoofer.

The 1967 Chevy Nova is a one-of-a-kind custom creation that has been designed and built with attention to detail and a passion for custom cars. The car is a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the team at The Custom Shop, and it showcases what can be achieved with the right vision, talent, and dedication. If you’re a fan of classic American muscle cars and custom builds, CaSSaNova is definitely a car to keep your eye on.
