What was the inspiration?
it started out as a daily driver that i wanted to do a few mods too. the goal was to keep things clean and simple. ended up spiraling into a complete show build. With the goal of having one of the nicest Mustang builds in the country. I focused on having a complete build, with every inch of the car touched in some way. I wanted this to be something that stands out from the crowd and really catches the eye.
How long did it take you to build?
Bought the car brand new in 2016. Over the years it has gone through several different versions, progressively getting a little more wild and unique every time.
How long have you been building?
i got into the show scene in the early 2000s with a Mitsubishi eclipse. Made allot of fun memories with my friends going to local shows and the original NOPI nationals event. Took sometime off for several years before getting back into the scene around 2015 and been going hard since.
Club Affiliations
Joined Team Chozen around 2003 and this has been my car family every since. Over the years we have evolved with the scene to eventually rebrand to just "CHOZEN". We have always prided ourselves on having the nicest builds around and continue the reputation today.
Your future plans?
At this point maintaining the car to be a high quality show car is the main goal. i don't foresee allot of big changes in the future.
Vehicle history
ive won countless awards at many national and local shows. including BEST OF SHOW at slammedenuff, one of the biggest shows in the country.
Thanks to
My wonderful supportive wife Ashley. My Kids Savannah and Camden. My car family Chozen. Ryan Wright and Carlos Rosales of Carolina Stance shop. Kaleb Dandrow of Union Kustoms and anyone else along the way that has a hand in this build.

“Slammed Ecostang”

2016 Ford Mustang

Owned by: Drew Jackson

Photos by: Chris Gosda

Some builds start simple and evolve into something wild. That’s exactly what happened with Drew Jackson’s 2016 Ford Mustang, better known as Slammed_ecostang. What began as a mild daily driver turned into one of the most eye-catching, fully built Mustangs in the country.

Packed with style, power, and personal touches, this EcoBoost isn’t just slammed—it’s a full-blown showstopper. And for Drew, this car is more than just a build. It’s a journey.

How It All Started

When Drew picked up his 2016 Mustang brand new, he only planned on doing a few clean mods. The goal was to keep it simple and subtle. But as with most great projects, one thing led to another—and before he knew it, he was chasing the dream of having one of the nicest Mustangs in the scene.

Over the years, Slammed_ecostang has gone through several phases, each version getting more polished, more aggressive, and more refined.

“I wanted something that would stand out from the crowd—something that made people stop and take a second look,” Drew says. “And I wanted every inch of it touched. Nothing left untouched.”

Years in the Making

This build wasn’t rushed. Since 2016, Drew has been evolving this car bit by bit. And it’s not his first ride either. Back in the early 2000s, he started out in the show scene with a Mitsubishi Eclipse, going to local events and even the legendary NOPI Nationals. After a break, he came back full force in 2015 and hasn’t slowed down since.

Today, he’s a proud member of CHOZEN, a car club he joined back in 2003 when it was known as Team Chozen. The crew’s always been known for having the cleanest rides in the game—and Drew’s Mustang fits that reputation perfectly.

Performance Meets Style: Built EcoBoost Power

Don’t let the show-car status fool you—this Mustang isn’t all looks. Under the hood sits a 2.3L EcoBoost motor that’s been fully bolted-on, pro-tuned, and upgraded with a Precision turbo and water/meth injection. It’s polished and dialed in for both reliability and performance, proving that you don’t need a V8 to run with the big dogs.

Slammed and Tucked with Airlift Performance

This Mustang hugs the pavement thanks to a full Airlift Performance air suspension setup. Whether parked at a show or cruising downtown, the stance is dialed in just right.

And when it comes to wheels, Drew went with Heritage 3-piece wheels measuring 19×14 all around, wrapped in 265/35/19 tires. It’s an aggressive fitment that perfectly complements the custom widebody by Carolina Stance Shop.

Wrapped in Style

The 2016 Ford Mustang is wrapped in Evolv APA Gloss Metal Hawaii Mint, a bold and vibrant color that pops under any lighting. Add in the SVG.JP carbon fiber PPF touches, and this car turns heads before it even pulls in.

The wrap and bodywork were both done by Union Kustoms, who also handled the GT500-style bumpers, Rocket Bunny wing, and clean widebody flares. It’s an aggressive look without being over the top—a balance of street-ready muscle and modern show car.

Inside the Cockpit

The interior on the 2016 Ford Mustang is just as dialed-in as the exterior. Drew’s Mustang features Braum racing seats, custom white door panels, and a starlight headliner courtesy of New Era Upholstery. There’s also a custom rear seat delete, carbon fiber steering wheel, and a fully built custom hardline trunk setup trimmed in gator skin material by Carolina Stance Shop.

And for sound? A full DS18 audio setup including amps, speakers, and a clean head unit makes sure the vibes hit just as hard as the turbo.

From Daily to Dominator

Over the years, Slammed_ecostang has won countless awards at local and national shows—including Best of Show at Slammedenuff, one of the biggest events in the country. That kind of recognition doesn’t come easy. It takes time, vision, and a deep passion for the scene.

Family and Friends Matter Most

Drew’s not shy about showing love to the people who made this build happen. Big thanks go out to his wife Ashley, his kids Savannah and Camden, his CHOZEN car family, and the skilled hands at Carolina Stance Shop, Union Kustoms, and others who helped bring the vision to life.

What’s Next?

At this point, Drew’s goal is to maintain the Mustang as a high-quality show car. No crazy overhauls, just keeping it clean, fresh, and dialed in. And honestly? When you build something this complete, that’s more than enough.
