What was the inspiration?

I've been a die hard Miami fan since the late 80's so the color scheme of orange and green has always been my favorite. So it was a no brainer for me when it came to the colors, always repping the U. The wrap has just changed but the bulk of the build has remained the same in colors.

How long did it take you to build?

From start to SEMA in '22 was about 6-8 weeks, but they are never done. She's always changing still because of the list of great sponsors I have acquired and my build manager CJ with SMG parts still show up regularly.

How long have you been building?

The Baby was actually my first truck build. I've built other things like motorcycles and a couple of car accessorizing jobs for personal but never anything like this truck build.

Your future plans?

I have a 1961 Lincoln Continental that I've been putting off that needs to be done. So that's top priority as of now.

In the world of custom vehicles, some builds turn heads, and some stop traffic. Mark Inge, aka “The Baby’s Daddy,” has created a masterpiece with his 2019 Ford F-350, affectionately named The Baby. With a vibrant Miami Hurricanes-inspired theme, this truck redefines passion and craftsmanship.

The Story Behind The Baby

Mark’s journey with The Baby began as a labor of love. It was his first truck, earning the endearing nickname. From the start, Mark envisioned a build that would pay homage to his lifelong dedication to the Miami Hurricanes, a passion dating back to the late ’80s. With its bold orange and green color scheme, The Baby is more than a vehicle—it’s a statement of loyalty.

A Quick Turnaround for SEMA 2022

Amazingly, the build went from concept to debut in just 6-8 weeks, making its first major appearance at SEMA 2022. However, as any seasoned builder will tell you, a project like this is never truly finished. Thanks to Mark’s dedicated team, including his build manager CJ Dunlap at SMG and numerous sponsors, The Baby continues to evolve.
