Mistress
(2004 Nissan 350z)
Meaning Behind the Name
I thought of my car as a mistress. I spend a lot of time with her. When I get asked what did I name her, I always reply "You never name your mistress, that's how you don't get caught."

Ride Details

Original Cost
I bought the car used in 2010 for $21,000
Build Cost
Estimated $35,000
What was the inspiration?
I have worked very hard on making the car in my own vision. Sport cars have always been my passion, but I can't help not to love all builds. I have wanted to build a sports car to where it can fit in to any car scene, not just one car scene. It has come a long way from when I first started working on it. It was my dream to have a car that was only for shows. After many years, I was able to do that with my dream car, a Z. My hope is that I can get the younger generation to love cars the way I was brought to love them. I especially love kids’ faces when they see my car. The best is when I get the muscle guy to be impressed.
How long did it take you to build?
I'm sure every car guy can agree, we are never finished with our build. I am still working on mine.
How long have you been building?
I have been working on the Z since the day I bought her back in 2010. I do a little something different every winter in the down time of car shows.
Your future plans?
My future goals/plans right now are door cards, a custom built harness bar (since no one makes one for the convertible Z), big brake kit, aftermarket steering wheel, hydraulic drift handbrake with secondary brake calipers, chassis mount wing, race seats and harnesses.
Vehicle history
I am the third owner of the car. I couldn't believe when I found it, it was already six years old and only had 11,000 miles on her. I can only assume the previous owners used the car as a Sunday driver. They kept it super clean with my appreciation.
